Pandemi Covid-19 menimbulkan dampak
krisis yang luar biasa bagi bisnis Indonesia. Tidak hanya menjatuhkan ekonomi
masyarakat menengah dan bawah, juga berdampak terhadap ekonomi orang-orang terkaya di Indonesia. Pandemi
ini telah mengganggu pertumbuhan ekonomi, merontokkan harga saham dan harga
komoditi unggulan, sehingga pendapatan beberapa konglomerat terpuruk, utang
membengkak sehingga mempengaruhi nilai kekayaannya.
Menurut riset CDMI Consulting, sebelum terjadinya Covid-19, yaitu tahun 2018 dan 2019 pendapatan konglomerat Indonesia melalui gurita bisnisnya meningkat tajam, sehingga menambah pundi pundi kekayaan mereka. Tapi ditahun 2020 akibat pandemi, semua telah berubah, hampir 60 persen dari daftar 55 pengusaha terkaya di Indonesia hartanya menurun. Ada penurunan yang hanya sedikit dan ada yang turun sangat tajam, sehingga beberapa dari mereka tidak lagi masuk dalam deretan pengusaha terkaya di Indonesia pada tahun 2020.
Ada empat pengusaha terkaya yang pada tahun 2020 tersingkir dalam deretan pengusaha terkaya Indonesia, tapi tetap memiliki harta yang besar, diantaranya adalah Rusdi Kirana (LION Group), Aksa Mahmud (BOSOWA Group), Donald Sihombing (TOTALINDO Eka Persada) dan Kardja Rahardjo (Pelayaran Tamarin Samudra). Hebatnya datang lima orang pengusaha terkaya pendatang baru yang sebelumnya tidak masuk dalam deretan pengusaha terkaya Indonesia yaitu Handojo Santoso (JAPFA Comfeed Indonesia), Hermanto Tanoko (TANCORP Abadi Nusantara, Jerry NG (Bank Jago Group), Susanto Suwarto (Elang Mahkota Teknologi/EMTEK). Dan yang sangat menarik, salah satu pendatang baru itu adalah Menteri di era Presiden Joko Widodo yaitu Eric Tohir, yang menjabat sebagai Menteri BUMN.
Konglomerat yang menjalankan bisnis properti, perhotelan dan pariwisata, transportasi udara sangat terpukul dengan kondisi pandemi ini, sektor lainnya adalah industri petrokimia, tekstil, manufaktur, ritel, leasing, perbankan juga mengalami hal yang sama dan beberapa sektor lainnya. Sebaliknya ada beberapa industri yang justru meningkat disaat pandemi ini, seperti industri makanan dan minuman, kelapa sawit, farmasi, alat kesehatan, rumah sakit, telekomunikasi dan informasi, pertanian dan beberapa sektor lainnya.
40 persen dari 55 pengusaha terkaya yang di survey CDMI Consulting, malah memiliki kekayaan yang meningkat dan tidak terpengaruh pandemi. Kinerja group perusahaan dibawah kendalinya sukses membukukan pendapatan yang fantastis. Tahun 2019 lalu, Anthony Salim memiliki kekayaan Rp. 80,8 triliun, ditahun 2020 meningkat Rp. 85,1 triliun dan diprediksi tahun 2021 Rp. 91,0 triliun. Kekayaan Jogi Hendra Atmadja ditahun 2020 ditaksir sebesar Rp. 62,2 triliun dan tahun 2021 diprediksi sebesar Rp. 74,6 triliun.
Pada tahun 2020 total kekayaan Benjamin Setiawan ditaksir Rp. 62,9 triliun dan ditahun 2021 diprediksi Rp. 66,1 triliun. Chairul Tanjung Rp. 56,8 triliun ditahun 2020 dan diprediksi Rp. 62,5 triliun ditahun 2021. Bachtiar Karim Rp. 45,9 triliun ditahun 2020 dan diprediksi Rp. 52,8 triliun ditahun 2021. Martua Sitorus Rp. 32,1 triliun ditahun 2020 dan diprediksi Rp. 34,7 triliun ditahun 2021. Kekayaan beberapa nama pengusaha terkaya lainnya disajikan lengkap di buku studi ini.

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a tremendous crisis impact on Indonesian businesses. Not only bringing down the economy of the middle and lower classes, it also has an impact on the economy of the richest people in Indonesia. This pandemic has disrupted economic growth, knocked down stock prices and leading commodity prices, so that the incomes of several conglomerates slumped, debt swelled, affecting the value of their wealth.
According to CDMI Consulting's research, before the onset of Covid-19, namely in 2018 and 2019 the income of Indonesian conglomerates through their business octopus increased sharply, thus increasing their coffers of wealth. But in 2020 due to the pandemic, everything has changed, almost 60 percent of the list of the 55 richest entrepreneurs in Indonesia has decreased their wealth. The performance of the group of companies under his control has successfully posted fantastic revenues.
